DESCRIPTION:  \nThe picture below is taken from HJ News.  In an effort to bring awareness to women’s rights violations around the world\, a panel entitled “Talk of Transgressions: The Whispers from Women around the World\,” was hosted at Utah State University on Friday. \nThree USU professors presented on current\, global examples of violence against women. Marisella Martinez-Cola addressed the high number of missing and murdered indigenous women in the United States. \n \nCrescencio Lopez spoke about the violence occurring in Mexico and how women were disproportionately affected by it. \nGonca Soyer told the audience of how the rights of people\, especially women and children\, were being violated in Turkey because of the failed coup attempt in 2016.
