On May 9–10, Emerald Hills Institute hosted a two-day Kintsugi workshop led by guest artist Maria Garcia, welcoming a group of 20 participants to explore themes of trauma, healing, and the butterfly effect.
On the first day the participants brought in ceramics, some with incredible personal value to break and mend. After breaking the pieces they were resealed using a gold and epoxy combination. After setting overnight the mended ceramics were ready to pick up.
The next day, Emerald Hills held a reflection and connection meeting where participants reflected on how their emotional scars can become sources of strength. Each piece told a story, reminding us that healing doesn’t erase the past, but transforms it into something more resilient and beautiful.
