Emerald Hills Institute

On September 13th, Emerald Hills Institute (EHI) proudly participated in a National Day of Service school supply drive held at the Granite Education Foundation for  Granite School District students who are experiencing food insecurity. The event brought the volunteers and community members together to honor the National Day of Service through collective action.

Volunteers from EHI, community members, and partners from across the district joined forces in this effort. Together, participants created a positive and collaborative environment centered on giving back.

The main focus of the activity was assembling student weekend snack packs to ensure that children have access to nutritious food and resources outside of school. Volunteers worked in an assembly-line format, efficiently packing thousands of snack kits. In addition to snack preparation, participants donated new school supplies to support the district’s back-to-school efforts.

The purpose of the event was to support children who may face food insecurity or lack school essentials, ensuring they are better prepared to learn and thrive. By combining food and school supply assistance, the project aimed to meet both nutritional and educational needs. In just one hour of service, EHI volunteers successfully packed 2,900 snack packs for local students. The event highlighted the power of teamwork and service, demonstrating how even small contributions can have a significant impact on children and families in the community.

Emerald Hills Institute is grateful to all who participated and looks forward to continuing efforts that uplift and support our community.
