On September 27, the Emerald Hills Institute hosted a Suicide Awareness Seminar and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training on how to intervene in a respectful, sensitive, and effective way. This gathering aimed to foster greater awareness of both the hidden and visible signs of suicide, highlight high-risk populations, and teach attendees how to recognize and respond appropriately.
Utah Suicide Prevention Committee and Coalition representatives Travis Baer and Jody England Hansen led this highly informative session, and we are deeply grateful for their time and the wisdom they shared with our community. We also extend our thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to this meaningful conversation.
