On November 20, the Emerald Hills Institute collaborated with St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Noah’s Pudding event, bringing the community together to share a meaningful cultural and interfaith experience.

The gathering celebrated the story of Prophet Noah, marked by the tradition of Noah’s Pudding (Ashura), a Turkish dessert symbolizing unity, peace, and gratitude. This tradition commemorates Noah’s Ark coming to rest on Mount Ararat, inspiring hope and harmony. Noah’s Pudding reflects the essence of community, as it is often shared with neighbors and friends to foster goodwill and connection.

Attendees enjoyed thoughtful conversations, learned about one another’s faith and traditions, and celebrated shared values of resilience, togetherness, and mutual respect. The event was a beautiful example of how cultural practices can build bridges between communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church for hosting this meaningful occasion and look forward to more opportunities for dialogue and friendship in the future.
