On September 24th, the Emerald Hills Institute hosted an Intercultural Turkish Kahve Night in collaboration with Terraine, bringing together around 30 community members for an evening of culture, connection, and conversation. Guests enjoyed a live demonstration on how to prepare traditional Turkish coffee, highlighting both the artistry and hospitality behind this centuries-old practice.
The evening also featured a henna artist @thehennastudio1, who generously offered her skills and created intricate designs for attendees, adding another cultural dimension to the event. Together, these activities provided participants with opportunities to engage directly with Turkish traditions while fostering intercultural dialogue and appreciation.
The warm, interactive atmosphere encouraged guests to share experiences, get to know each other, learn from one another, and build community ties. The collaboration with Terraine was especially valuable in extending outreach and strengthening local partnerships, helping to create a welcoming environment where everyone could participate.
We are grateful to all who attended and supported the event, including our volunteers and partners. Our Turkish Kahve Night was not only a celebration of cultural heritage but also a step toward deeper understanding and stronger connections within our community.
