Emerald Hills Institute and Salt Lake City Police Department Host Law Enforcement Iftar 

On March 7th, the Emerald Hills Institute partnered with the Salt Lake City Police Department to host the Law Enforcement Iftar, fostering cultural exchange, networking, and dialogue. The event featured a presentation on Ramadan and Muslim life, followed by dinner and meaningful conversations between community members and law enforcement.

Approximately 75 attendees gathered as members of the Emerald Hills community shared insights into the significance of fasting, the practices of Ramadan, and the experience of breaking fast. Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian Redd and Emerald Hills Institute President Sergazy Nurbavliyev delivered opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of mutual understanding and collaboration. The evening provided a unique opportunity for firsthand engagement with Ramadan traditions, strengthening connections between the two groups.
