In honor of Women’s History Month, the Emerald Hills Institute hosted a panel highlighting women’s success stories in collaboration with Tech-Moms and A Bolder Way Forward. The panel discussion, moderated by Robbyn Scribner, co-founder of Tech Moms, included five fabulous women: Yadira Morales, a Teaching Assistant at Tech-Moms, Halima Hussein, a Women’s Services Coordinator at the Refugee Services Office, Bobbi Teel, a Security Triage Analyst Intern at Arctic Wolf, Katie Christensen, a Program Coordinator for Remote Online Initiative at USU, and Angela Rawlings, a Spoke Coordinator for Bolder Way Forward. Each of these women has faced unique challenges in both their personal and professional lives including navigating the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom, being a refugee, trying to find a passion while raising children, and dealing with mental health. The women shared the steps they took to overcome these challenges to get to where they are today, and offered wonderful advice on how other women can break barriers and build successful careers. The panel was an incredible opportunity for women to connect, and learn to navigate any challenges they face.
