Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Emerald Hills Institute remembers with deep respect and sorrow the thousands of innocent lives lost, as well as the families, first responders, and communities whose lives were forever changed.
We honor their memory not only by remembering the tragedy of that day, but also by reflecting on our shared responsibility to help build a society where human life, dignity, compassion, and understanding are valued above hatred and division.
September 11 reminded us of the importance of dialogue, mutual understanding, and meaningful relationships among people of different faiths, cultures, and backgrounds. At Emerald Hills Institute, we strive to bring people together through interfaith dialogue, cultural and educational programs, civic engagement, community service, and opportunities to serve side by side.
We believe that when people come together with openness, sincerity, and a willingness to listen, fear can give way to friendship, misunderstanding to understanding, and division to cooperation.
Twenty-five years later, our commitment remains clear: we must choose peace over hatred, dialogue over isolation, compassion over division, and service over indifference.
May we continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us. May the memory of those we lost inspire us to build bridges across our differences, serve our neighbors, and work together toward a more peaceful, compassionate, and harmonious society.
